As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Portable Document File(PDF) format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

Submission of Manuscripts:
Authors who wish to submit their manu-scripts electronically to the Korean Journal of Mathematics (KJM) should upload the PDF file via http://kkms.org, except for very special circumstances that the KJM recognized. The author may recommend the handling editor from the list of editors of the KJM. The TeX source-file will be needed later when the submitted paper has been accepted for publication in the KJM.
The TeX source-file should be in a LaTeX format. The first page of the manuscript must include
(1) the title, that is concise but descriptive and informative,
(2) the precise authorship (full name preferred),
(3) the abstract,
(4) 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification following the annual index of the Mathematical Reviews,
(5) a list of key-words and/or phrases.
The affiliation and/or the address of authors as well as the e-mail address should be included at the end of the manuscript.

References:

The items in the reference section should be ordered according to the alphabetical order of the family names of the authors and numbered numerically such as [1],[2],...

Books include (if available): Name(s) of author(s), title{italics}, edition (if not 1st), place of publication and publisher, Year of publications.

Journal articles include (if available): Name(s) of author(s), Title of article{italics}, Journal name{abbreviation}. Volume{bolds} (issue) (Year of publications), page numbers of article.

Figures and graphics

Figures and graphics, if included, should be prepared suitable for photographic reproduction. The KJM prefers graphics produced electronically and compiled in the EPS format.

Abstract
A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.

The KJM advises the author to retain the TeX source-file and any other files related, until the publication process is completed. The KJM may require the source-file(s) as soon as the submitted paper is accepted for publication in the KJM.

Proofs:
Authors will receive only one set of proofs for corrections. No alterations or corrections beyond corrections on minor typographic error will normally be accepted once the set of proofs is issued.

Peer-Review:
All manuscripts are treated as confidential. They are peer-reviewed by at least 3 anonymous reviewers selected by the editor. The corresponding author is notified as soon as possible of the editor's decision to accept, reject, or request revision of manuscripts. Rejected paper will not be peer-reviewed again.

Authorship of the Paper:
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. Specifically, authorship of the paper is based on the following 4 criteria:
- Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND
- Final approval of the version to be published; AND
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions
related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.

Publication Charge:
The publication fee for members of KKMS is 200,000 won (USD 200). The publication fee for non-members is 300,000 won (USD 300). The papers with any footnote for a research fund will be charged by the publication fee for non-members. The maximums page of a publication article is 25.
